Q: What are the requirements for residency at Acacia Creek?
A: You must be 60 years of age and financially able to meet the terms of the Residence and Care Agreement. If you are a couple, both of you must be 60 years of age or older. - Back to Top

Q: Do I have to be a member of a particular religious denomination to become a resident?
A:
No. Membership in the Masonic Fraternity or a particular religious faith is not required. Residents of all faiths demonstrate an interdenominational awareness of good fellowship. An honorable life sympathetic to the principles of honesty, good ethics, a love of country and our fellow man, and a respect for others’ points of view is expected of all residents. - Back to Top

Q: What type of retirement community is Acacia Creek?
A: Acacia Creek is a not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community, often referred to as a “CCRC.” As a CCRC, we offer a variety of living accommodations, fine amenities, a comprehensive Wellness Program, and several types of support and health care. But the most important thing Acacia Creek offers is an array of services that helps you maintain your independence and live a rich, rewarding lifestyle. Q: What lifestyle options are available at Acacia Creek?

As a CCRC, Acacia Creek offers access to the following levels of care and support:

  • Residential living for independent residents
  • Assisted living for people who require a little help with the activities of daily living (i.e., bathing, dressing, personal care, medication assistance, and mobility)
  • Memory care (a secure environment with the appropriate personal care provided)

Q: What will the fees be to live at Acacia Creek?
A:
Residents will pay (1) an entry fee, (2) a monthly fee (which will vary according to the size and type of apartment selected and by the level of care needed), and (3) fees for optional services, if applicable. - Back to Top

Q: Will there be a refund of fees at any time?
A:
Once you sign a Residence and Care Agreement, you are allowed a seven-day cancellation period. Once you assume occupancy of your residence, you are allowed a 90-day trial period during which you may leave the community at your discretion and receive, upon written notice, a refund of all fees minus a reasonable processing fee and fees for the value of services rendered during occupancy.

With our 90% Refundable Entry Fee Plan, your $1,000 deposit is fully refundable. If you choose to move forward with residency at Acacia Creek, this $1,000 deposit will apply toward your 10% Reservation Deposit (which you make when you reserve your apartment or cottage). Your 10% Reservation Deposit, along with the balance of your Entry Fee, is refundable at 90%. - Back to Top

Q: Will there be possible tax advantages to living at Acacia Creek?
A:
The IRS may recognize a portion of both the entry fee and the monthly fee as a prepaid medical expense deduction. In addition, because Acacia Creek is a not-for-profit organization, gifts made to the community may be tax deductible. We provide a variety of transportation services, including shuttle bus service to local shopping areas and cultural and recreational events. Individual transportation to events or distant locations may be provided for an additional charge. A:
Absolutely! We encourage residents to individualize their homes. Before you move in, you’ll have the opportunity to customize your apartment, cottage, or patio home with your choice of paint, carpeting, and vinyl flooring colors. You may also upgrade your choice of flooring, carpeting, and other interior design appointments. You will supply your own furniture and decorate to your taste. - Back to Top

At Acacia Creek your residence is your home. You can entertain guests as you always have, including having visitors for overnight stays subject to reasonable rules that protect the rights of all residents. Guest rooms are also available for a modest fee and can be reserved for your guests. While at Acacia Creek, guests are welcome to enjoy all campus facilities.
