What is a CCRC
There are many important benefits that come with living in a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). In order to fully understand these benefits, it is important to understand what a CCRC is.
Simply put, a CCRC is a particular type of retirement community that offers several levels of health care on one campus. Acacia Creek at Union City, as a CCRC, offers access to the following levels of care and support:
- Residential living for independent residents
- Assisted living for people who require a little help with the activities of daily living (i.e., bathing, dressing, personal care, medication assistance, and mobility)
- Memory care (a secure environment with the appropriate personal care provided)
- Skilled nursing care—residents will have access to both short- and long-term skilled nursing care (Continued)
- A comprehensive Wellness Program
We are pleased to offer residents of Acacia Creek the following benefits, as detailed in your Residence and Care Agreement:
- Discounted rates if you ever need assisted living, memory support, or skilled nursing care
- Ten (10) complimentary, temporary skilled nursing days each year
- Potential tax savings — the IRS may recognize a portion of both the Entry Fee and the Monthly Fee as a prepaid medical expense deduction (please consult your personal tax advisor about your specific situation)
